What was the problem?

Our need to hire in a limited amount of time forced the company to be extremely lean and think in ways to push for quicker responses in shorter times. In the past, candidate debriefs took between 2 to 5 days, depending on the amount of work. This was mainly due to having to gather notes, reorganize them, evaluate the responses and weight them. This produced enough data to create a GO/NO-GO with some feedback, that still had to be written by hand.

What did I do?

I created an internal tool to orchestrate Hiring Manager calls.

How did I do it?

  1. I created an internal tool to organize myself and other EMs, either as single interviewers or as interviewer and shadow.
  2. The tool allowed for a list of random questions, note taking on individual questions and in general, grading individual questions and giving an interview feeling.
  3. I also implemented an AI-driven system to evaluate grades, notes and feeling in order to automate the GO/NO-GO and the feedback.

What did I achieve?

Feedback and debriefs went down from 2-5 days to merely 10 minutes (the time it takes the interviewer to check all questions are properly noted and answered).
