What was the problem?

As the former EM left, the monetization team needed leadership with deep mobile expertise to guide development of paid features across iOS and Android.

What did I do?

I stepped up as an EM and led the team responsible for several charged features on both platforms, providing the mobile knowledge needed to align development and keep implementations consistent.

How did I do it?

  1. I first went through an internal interview process to be promoted to EM.
  2. I then mapped out the paid features and assigned clear ownership between iOS and Android engineers.
  3. I orchestrated an agile team to align both platforms, something that was not done during the previous EM leadership.

What did I achieve?

The team delivered monetized features that worked reliably on both iOS and Android without platform-specific surprises for users, giving the team a stable foundation for future iterations.
